1991 Fiat Panda Sisley Edition 4WD!
Description
ST #1059
1991 Fiat Panda Sisley Edition with 4WD system engineered at Steyr-Puch in Graz Austria. Steyr-Puch are well known for engineering and building the Mercedes Gwagen; VW Iltis and Vanagon Sycro; as well as the legendary Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer / Haflinger.Although originally limited to the production of only 500, in 1989 the Sisley model became a permanent model.
The Panda 4×4 was launched in June 1983, it was powered by a 965-cc engine with 48 bhp (36 kW) derived from that in the Autobianchi A112. Known simply as the Panda 4×4, this model was the first small, transverse-engine production car to have a 4WD system. The system itself was manually selectable, with an ultra-low first gear. Under normal (on-road) conditions starting was from second, with the fifth gear having the same ratio as fourth in the normal Panda. Austrian company Steyr-Puch supplied the entire drivetrain (clutch, gearbox, power take-off, three-piece propshaft, rear axle including differential and brakes) to the plant at Termini Imerese where it was fitted to the reinforced bodyshell.
The Pandas 4×4 is capable off-road and also efficient & reliable.
This car is in great shape. It starts, runs and drives well. The engine is healthy and transmission shifts well through gears. The clutch is good. The car was repainted a few years ago and the fresh paint presents well. There is no visible rust. Floors very solid. Interior was recently redone with high quality materials and is in mint shape. The brakes, suspension and wheels are good. Tires are old. All major electrical parts and gauges work. The front windshield has a crack, but other glass is good. Clean title.
Any questions welcome.
